Background

We had a client that required an automated lubrication system for a newly acquired container forklift utilised in a high-traffic port environment. They specified the need for a system that is both easily programmable and with the capability of being monitored effectively.

DropsA Australia Solution

Following a consultation with the customer and an onsite inspection, the Product Manager at DropsA Australia recommended a Single Line Progressive Auto Lube System. The proposed package included the DropsA Bravo 24V pump with a 5kg grease reservoir and a programmabletimer using DropsA SMX primary and DropsA SMP secondary modular progressive valves.

Upon acceptance of the design, our Service Manager coordinated a team member to install and commission the system pre delivery onsite exceeding the customers timeline expectations.

Results

Since the the installation of the Bravo-fed lubrication system – Fig 1, the customer now benefits from a sustainable, robust and programmable lubrication system that includes monitored alarm outputs, providing peace of mind.

Previously, daily manual lubrication required taking the forklift offline. Now the DropsA Bravo system delivers the required volume of lubricant to the primary and secondary DropsA dividers, lubricating the forklift with the correct amount at optimal intervals while the lift truck remains in service. The DropsA Bravo pump only requires reservoir refilling once every two months, offering the customer a long-term, sustainable, and serviceable solution for their lubrication needs.
